Over the christmas holiday we decided to take a break from our other projects and try to improve the strong base we already made during the original game jam. This update tries to solve some of  the problems that we discovered after posting the original jam as well as add general polish such as a main menu and settings menu. 

Things that have been changed or added:

• Main focus has been changed from deciphering a single word per tape to decoding a short messages. This is to encourage players to listen to the end of the tape as well as help players who struggle to hear one specific word.
• Added clock so players can time their runs.
• Edited some tapes that were too long to improve the overall pacing.
• Feedback lights have been replaced with a feedback printer that prints out a small report providing information on how many words are correct, how many words are incorrect and how many words are in the right order for the message. It also provides a final grade, how many attempts have been taken and the time it was submitted at.
• Main menu and pause menu have been added. Currently only the settings submenu and the credits sub menu work but the levels menu will be implemented in the future once the game has multiple levels.

Things that we are looking into:

• MORE TAPES! LOTS OF TAPES! We have unspaghettified our code and improved our work flow so adding new tapes will be easier.
• Procedural tapes that have different hidden messages each time you play.
• An overarching story that is changed and altered depending on whether you successfully decipher the codes.
• Ciphers, encryption and messages that are hidden over multiple tapes.
