A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

AHOY THERE!

Charter your course from port to port and across the world in this economy based strategy game. Take on trade contracts at different locations around the world and cash them in to purchase more supplies and hire more crew to continue on your travels. This game was made for the Brackeys2023.1 game jam.

Instructions

Your goal as a trade tycoon is to plot lucrative routes between ports. Once your boat has set sail there is no changing its course so you will have to pick your route carefully. Chain your paths together across the map to gain an enormous quantity of doubloons!

Trading

When at a port you can open the trading menu to take on trade contracts. These contracts show the type of cargo, the destination and the reward that is payed upon safe delivery. Once you have added a trade contract to your inventory a flag will appear on top of the destination for that contract. You can also purchase more supplies for your ship and hire more crew.

Chartering

You can charter your course by clicking and dragging from where your ship is docked. You cannot plot a course over land. You can click on other ports to show what contracts they have and what supplies and crew they have in stock. Once you have connected your course to another port you can click the depart button to set sail on your voyage. Remember that if your route is too long then your crew may run out of supplies and starve which could lead to a mutiny!
